A new development of three residential properties set across 10 acres of Sardinian landscape demonstrates Shape Studio’s approach to organic architecture. Significantly, the project has drawn on the skills of the studio’s integrated team, involving engineers, architects, project management and design groups. The development includes Villa Theama, Villa Phisis and Villa Kallos.
Theama is an ambitious project built into a dramatic rocky amphitheatre facing the gulf of Porto Cervo. Imagined as a house above the trees its build clings to the rocks whilst suspended above clusters of Juniper trees. Dense volumes and clean plains weave into a sinuous dance of geometric shapes. The property is oriented to maximise its sea views, with terraces that soar into space and steel shafts supporting its weight. A project that truly respects nature allows Theama to become part of the wonder of its natural environment finding a balance with the topography of the land.
